YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – An 18-year-old Youngstown man is in jail Monday after police said he tried to crash into a police car Friday night.

Bond has been set at $152,500 for 18-year-old Kevin Roman, of Youngstown, who is accused of trying to ram his car into a city police cruiser during a chase.

Police said officers tried to pull Roman over for running a stop sign, and he sped away. At one point in the chase, investigators said Roman spun his car around and started driving toward pursuing officers who veered out of the way to avoid a crash.

Police caught Roman a short time later and discovered he also had a warrant for his arrest on a charge of armed robbery in the city earlier in April.
