The woman accused of stealing money from the McDonald Local Schools Parent Educator Group appeared in common pleas court Wednesday morning for her arraignment.
Stephanie Hilbun entered a not guilty plea to charges of grand theft, theft in office and forgery.
She was released on $10,000 bond.
Hilbun is accused of stealing more than $8,000 from the non-profit parent group. According to the group’s website, Hilbun served as the treasurer.
A release from the McDonald Police Department says an administrator in the district reported a possible theft back on Aug. 21. The investigation is ongoing.
