Bond set at $1 million for 2 accused of killing Masury man

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Two people accused of killing a Masury man who was found in a burning car in Youngstown appeared in court Friday.

Bond was set at $1 million for 21-year-old Destaney Phillips and 26-year-old Akeem Brown, each charged with aggravated murder.

Brown and Phillips were arrested by U.S. Marshals on Thursday.

Police said the two killed 51-year-old Anthony Bianco, who had been shot. He was found dead in a burning vehicle on the side of Seifert Avenue near Knapp Avenue.

Bianco had been released from Trumbull County Jail the day prior on theft charges, according to jail records. Police have not released a motive in the shooting.
