BOARDMAN, Ohio (WYTV) – Boardman Police have charged a woman with taking down customers’ credit card numbers and stealing others’ cash, a police report states.
Police have charged Erin Marks, 30, with three counts of identity fraud and two counts of forgery, all felonies, according to jail records.
Police began investigating after a customer told the owner of StoneBridge Grille & Tavern in Boardman that his card had been charged several additional times after he ate there.
The owner believes that Marks, who formerly worked at the restaurant, was jotting down customers’ credit card information, then pocketing cash from other patrons and using the information to pay those bills, according to the report.
Marks was not available for comment at a phone number listed for her on the police report.
