Boardman bank robbery suspect arraigned

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WYTV) – Tuesday, authorities arraigned a man accused of robbing a bank in Boardman Jan. 9.

Police arrested G. Shannon McColor, 27, of Youngstown, Monday night and charged him with aggravated robbery in connection to the robbery of the Huntington Bank in Boardman. McColor is charged with aggravated robbery.

McColor is being held in the Mahoning County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

Police believe McColor robbed the Huntington Bank on South Avenue near Midlothian Boulevard on Friday, Jan. 9.

Police think it was McColor who entered the bank about 4:30 p.m. and demanded money, showing the teller a note demanding money and flashing a handgun. It is estimated that the man stole $431.
