YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Non-teaching employees of Youngstown State University will meet Wednesday night to look over the school administration’s “last and best” contract offer.
That meeting comes a day after the YSU Board of Trustees approved a separate, new contract for teaching faculty by a vote of seven to two.
A vote on the deal for non-teaching employees could come from their union, the Association of Classified Employees, in the next few days.
Members of the union have been working under the terms of their old agreement, which was originally set to expire in August.
There are about 290 members in the ACE union, with many of them working in clerical or administrative assistant positions. At this point, no date has been set for voting on the offer.
