(WYTV) - What's for dinner? How about spaghetti?
Usually, pasta is made with refined flower but that may not be the best choice for our waistlines.
That news comes from registered dietitians, including Lindsay Malone of the Cleveland Clinic.
She says to try options that are rich in nutrients.
"One of my favorites is spaghetti Squash. It's a yellow, round squash -- that, when cooked, the noodles or the inside flesh of the vegetable resembles spaghetti noodles. But it has far more vitamins, minerals, fiber, than your traditional spaghetti."
She says to also try making spaghetti from beans.
You can also try a kitchen tool that can change zucchini, carrots, and other vegetables into a spaghetti.
She says when looking for sauce, try looking for something without added sugar.
