YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – The Youngstown City Schools’ emergency levy passed on Tuesday.

According to unofficial returns, 63.4% voted yes, while 36.6% voted no.

The renewal levy will generate $5.2 million a year.

The district is facing a $29 million deficit by 2024.
