Copper thieves hit Warren church

WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – Another copper theft from the rooftop of a business was reported in Warren.

This time thieves hit Blessed Sacrament Parish on Reeves Road.

According to the Tribune Chronicle, copper and other metals were taken from air conditioning units on the roof of the church, causing about $15,000 in damage.

Police believe the crime happened some time last week.

Earlier this week, a copper theft from the roof of the Pizza Hut on East Market Street was reported. Thieves caused about $3,000 in damage in that incident.
