Campbell traffic stop turns up stolen gun and drugs

News

CAMPBELL, Ohio (WYTV) – Two men are due back in court next week after police say they found a stolen gun and drugs during a traffic stop.

Kenneth Sharpe and Clarence Morgan appeared in Campbell Municipal Court Tuesday.

The pair was pulled over for having an object hanging on the rear view mirror, but officers noticed Sharpe and Morgan were acting nervously, according to a police report. That report states that officers searched the vehicle and found a gun, more than $1,000 and marijuana.

Both suspects are facing charges of receiving stolen property, carrying concealed weapons, and being convicted felons in possession of a gun.

Morgan was also charged with tampering with evidence and possession of drugs.
