Adam Clayton

Adam Clayton is a meteorologist, joining WYTV in the summer of 2022. 

Born and raised in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, Adam is a 2014 graduate of Lawrence County High School. After graduation, Adam attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville, where he became the school’s first National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration Ernest F. Hollings scholar. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Meteorology in 2018. He would continue his education at Colorado State University, earning his master’s degree in 2021.

Adam gained valuable experience covering severe weather while attending college, both in Alabama and Colorado. 

Following his graduation, he worked as a research scientist in air missile defense and then for three months as a Meteorologist at WAFF 48 News in Huntsville, Alabama. 

Adam has studied lightning and tornadic activity extensively and is excited to bring his expertise to the viewers of the Mahoning Valley. 

When away from the WYTV weather center, Adam enjoys golfing and working out. He is a lover of music and sports and enjoys the downtown Youngstown scene.
