The American Cancer Society Relay for Life in Poland is looking for volunteers to participate in this years’ Relay.
There are several aspects involved in making the Relay for Life a success, and any help is appreciated. Volunteers can perform a variety of tasks including; donating, organizing and recruiting teams, help during set-up, rally community support, and any other help needed. Volunteers can also be cancer survivors, caregivers, walkers, and community leaders.
Please join us at our next Relay for Life meeting on Thursday, February 9 at 7 p.m. at New Life Assembly of God, 2250 E. Western Reserve Road, near the intersection of Five Points in Poland.
During the Relay for Life, teams and individuals camp out along a track and have at least one team member walking at all times. The 24-hour event is full of entertainment, to keep you on your toes, and the Luminary candles placed around the track light the way and remind us of the common goal; to defeat cancer. Whether you have won your battle against cancer, cared for someone who has had cancer, lost a loved one to this ugly disease, or simply want to help, we invite you to join us in this amazing effort.
Relay for Life will be held July 6-7 at Poland Seminary High School. If you are interested in becoming involved with Poland Relay for Life, or would like more information, please join us at our next team meeting on February 9. You can also visit RelayforLife.org/Poland
