Our student athlete of the week gets it done on the mound and at the plate. Bill Castovince also tells us is work in the classroom is a cut above and he enjoys helping others.

In his third year as a starter, Nick Baiamonte is looking to lead East Palestine to it's third straight District Final .. The senior is a star on the mound with 17 career wins, and at the plate as a career .500 hitter.

"I think my on-base percentage is going to be 700. That's 300 points higher than my batting average. My coaches say I would be better at lead off but I can't do that because I'm not that fast."--Nick Biamonte

But Baiamonte does have some quick hands at third base .. He is also an All Conference pick in football who does volunteer work at school and in his community.

"Do the blood drive, help out people, hold their hand when they are giving blood. Social concerns, helping out the less fortunate."--Nick Biamonte

Nick always wanted to graduate with high honors, and he gets straight A's. But one class his sophomore year hurt his chances to reach his goal."

"I had a chemistry class. No one in our school takes chemistry as a sophomore. That's what brought me down. Ever since then my grades have been sterling."--Nick Biamonte
