Steve has a 3-1 record for his senior season, his fourth as a member of the Falcons rotation. The 6'2" lefthander has racked up 50 strikeouts, including 16 in one game. With a fastball around the high 80's to the low 90's, Gruver has earned a scholarship to pitch at the University of Tennessee-and MLB scouts have showed up to watch him pitch.

Gruver entered his senior year with an 11-4 record and a pair of All Federal League Honorable Mentions. Despite a rotator cuff injury, Gruver helped Fitch win the District Championship as a junior.

Gruver is a 4.0 student who will graduate as a class valedictorian. He is a member of National Honor Society and serves as vice president of his senior class.
