The Mahoning Valley's second season of arena football is off to a good start.

The Thunder won their season debut 59-33 over Albany on Saturday night in front of 3,735 fans at the Chevrolet Centre.  Ursuline grad Josh Swogger was 10-24 passing for 157 yards and four touchdowns in his first AF2 game.  Demarcus Mathes was his top target with 109 yards and a pair of TD's.

Henry Tolbert go the Thunder off to a quick start, returning the opening kickoff 50 yards for a score.  John Tackmann ran for three TD's for Mahoning Valley (1-0).

The Thunder will be back at Cortland Banks Field next Saturday against Manchester.
