A dramatic day Thursday in court as the trial against Michael Davis begins.
He's accused of setting fire to an east side home, and killing six people.
The five survivors of the blaze, including Ratia and Julius Crawford, first took the stand reliving the events of January 23rd.
During Ratia's testimony, the prosecution played her 911 call.
The dramatic replay not only brought the surviving family member to tears, but Michael Davis also got very emotional.
Ratia Crawford, a survivor says, "I was thinking I need to get to them, but I couldn't. The fire was too big by the steps. I couldn't get up the stairs so I called for help."
In their opening statements, the prosecution said Davis actually admitted to the crime to the police.
But the defense maintains the investigation produced the wrong suspect.
Testimony continues in this case Friday.
