Four inmates who escaped from the Columbiana County Jail are awaiting extradition Tuesday morning after being caught in Western Pennsylvania.

Police say they led them on a chase Monday near Pittsburgh, after officers spotted the inmates and one of their girlfriends in a stolen car.

The four escaped from Columbiana County Jail late Sunday night, but they weren't reported missing until six o'clock Monday morning.

The inmates, Mark Foden and William Merritt of East Liverpool, Jason Heffner of Salineville and John Hamilton of Salem, remain in the Allegheny County Jail.

Heffner's girlfriend, Melissa McCulley, is being charged with complicity to escape.
