Family members say fifty-five year old David Brooks was viciously pushed down a flight of cement stairs by a neighbor.   They are adamant David Brooks died for no reason.

Maria, Greg and Sue now have to deal with the fact that their family member is gone, two days after a dispute in his Newton Village Apartment complex parking lot when he pulled in.  Brooks and his wife reached their apartment door; that's when she says she saw one of the men, Christopher Denvir ,had followed them.  Denvir allegedly pushed Brooks down the stairs, leaving a gaping head wound.

He was transferred to University Hospital in Cleveland, where he stayed in a coma, until doctors took him off of life support.  Family members say Brooks had never met or seen Denvir before.  

Denvir pleaded not guilty to felonious assault charges in court Monday.  No word from police what charge he may face now.  As of Monday night, we're told Denvir should appear back in court later this month.
