Former SteelHounds hockey player Jason Baird is in stable condition at the Akron Burn Center. After a commercial lawn service mower exploded Thursday while cutting the grass around Westchester Commons Apartments in Austintown leaving him seriously burned. Baird is listed as a forward on the now league-less Youngstown SteelHounds hockey team, apparently working as a landscaper in the off-season.
