On Tuesday night, some developers had asked council members to consider allowing folks to bring their own alcohol to Yellow Creek theater behind the library in Poland Village.
Council voted unanimously against the proposal. The council President says Poland Village is dry and they want to keep it that way.
"At the movies, it's a family affair. And we don't think it's a good idea to mix liquor, even wine with this kind of occasion.", explains the President Poland Village Council
Council members say if they allowed alcohol at this event, developers may try to apply for a liquor license later on and they don't want that in Poland Village.
