Looking To Move by Gerry Ricciutti

By this summer, more Mahoning County offices could be moving into Oakhill Renaissance Place.

Commissioners are looking to move several agencies now located inside the old County Annex Building on Market Street over to Oakhill.  Officials tells us those agencies, including the county's Veterans' Commission, the "Green Team" and the Clerk of Courts' Title Department are now having to use office space that may not necessarily suit their needs.

Commissioner Anthony Traficanti says the move will save money for the county too.  Although most of the agencies involved don't pay rent for their space, the Annex is expensive to maintain, costing the county three hundred thousand dollars last year for utilities.
