Orange Cone Season has officially hit the valley and this week and that means construction and delays for area drivers. Beginning tomorrow, a road expansion will begin on Route 224 at the Tippecanoe intersection in Canfield. The project will include daytime lane restrictions...It's all part of a four-point-one million dollar project to improve road safety and reduce intersection delays. It's slated to be complete by July 2009. And here's a detour to take note of...Starting tomorrow...Ohltown Road in Austintown..under Interstate-80..will shut down. The posted detour is Silica Road, to Turner Road, and back onto Ohltown Road.The work is expected to be done by the middle of June.

 An improvement project will also begin tomorrow on Interstate-79 in Lawrence County. Workers will be repairing parts of the roadway for about five miles through Lawrence County to the Butler County Line. Expect lane closures and other daytime restrictions. The nearly 11-million dollar project is expected to be done in late fall...
