Habitat for Humanity of Mahoning County is building its third home this year, this time on Youngstowns South Side. The organization is partnering with Felicia Johnson to build the house of her dreams. She has been busy helping out, trying to work off her sweat equity in the home. Felicia has to put in 250 hours of work on her house or other Habitat projects. It takes a lot of organization and partnerships with valley businesses for a project like this to happen.
"It's a lot of coordination between. In this particular house it was Youngstown Youth Build. We have a lot of volunteers from St. Pats church. And it all comes together. We coordinate it, try to get it all done. This particular house we'll have done in 90 days."------Sonny Bruno construction manager.
There is about three to four weeks of construction left on the home, Habitat hopes to dedicate it in early July.
