Early Voting Ruling
|
As voters continue taking advantage of the chance to cast their ballots before election day, a federal appeals court has now ordered Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner to provide information to help verify the identity of those who registered and voted the same day earlier this month.
Republicans had sued Brunner arguing the same day system would lead to voter fraud.
While between thirty five thousand and forty thousand people are expected to cast their ballots early, the court ruling only covers those who registered and voted on the same day. There are only about one hundred of those in Mahoning County.
