Tough Economy Makes Getting School Loans Difficult

The financial woes plaguing Wall Street could start to affect those on college campuses across the country.

Financial experts say Federal Student Loans should not be affected by this Wall Street meltdown.

They believe if you qualify for money through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, also know as the FAFSA, the money is there.

But if you need additional funds to get through school, you face a tougher road.

For instance, banks will require higher credit scores and your income will come into play more.  All making it difficult to qualify for a private loan.

Some students say its impossible not to rely on these loans, especially as the cost of tuition and books continues to rise.
