Canfield's dream of a trip to the Little League World Series is still alive.  Barely.

Mike Kindinis slammed a two-run home run in the top of the 6th inning to lift Canfield over Boardman West, 6-4, in the 11-12 year old District Championship Game on Tuesday night at McCune Park.

Boardman's Brad Dofka delivered a two-out, two-run single to tie the game up at four in the fifth inning.  Canfield built a big lead early thanks to a two-run home run off the bat of Edmond Pilolli, who was also stellar on the mound.  Pilolli tossed the last four innings for Canfield, recording nine strikeouts.

Canfield will play Saturday in Portsmouth at the State Tournament.
