OH House Takes No Action On Dann by Gerry Ricciutti

Instead of weighing articles of impeachment against Marc Dann, lawmakers discussed rules concerning home inspections and spending bills.  Rep. Ron Gerberry of Austintown tells First News lawmakers are "being very careful" in their discussions of the Attorney General's sexual harassment case.

Just a day ago, there was talk of multiple impeachment resolutions from Democrats and Republicans but today, leaders were talking about avoiding any missteps.

Meantime lawmakers say concerns over the way Dann ran his office as well as what some believe have been inconsistencies during his depositions need to be thoroughly reviewed.  Rep. Bob Hagan of Youngstown says, "I'm not ready to make a decision without all of the information at my fingertips."

A move that will leave Dann some time to reflect on what his future holds -- giving Valley lawmakers more time to make their plea with the Attorney General -- both Gerberry and Hagan once again calling on Dann to resign.

Lawmakers tell us they do not expect any legislative action for at least another week, while they review Dann's case, as well as their own rules covering impeachment.

But some warn that if Dann continues to defy them, resolutions pushing for his removal could be brought up as soon as next week.
