The snow began around noon on Tuesday.

Officially, by about 11 p.m., three inches of snow had fallen at the airport in Vienna. While there will be more Tuesday night and Wednesday, it will be scattered and falling at about one inch at a time.

As of 10 p.m. Tuesday, a Winter Storm Warning was downgraded to a Winter Weather Advisory for Trumbull and Mahoning counties effective until 7 p.m. Wednesday. There, an additional one to three inches of snow accumulation is expected Tuesday night, with an additional two to four inches of snowfall through Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

A warning late Tuesday was still in effect for Lawrence, Mercer and Columbiana counties through 7 p.m. Wednesday. Another two to four inches of snow was expected Tuesday, and an additional three to six inches through Wednesday.

Unlike last weekend's storm, this will be a colder snowfall and accompanied by strong winds. Considerable blowing and drifting will occur for days after the storm.

We are monitoring the storm in our weather center and will provide updates both online and at Myvalleyweather.com, and on our broadcast newscasts.

Closing and cancellations can be seen by clicking on the Closing and Cancellation link on the left hand side of this page.
