Valley natives Kyle McCarthy (Cardinal Mooney), and Marcellus Bowman (Liberty) have agreed to non-drafted free agent deals with the Denver Broncos.

The Notre Dame standout McCarthy amassed 223 total tackles for the Fighting Irish, with eight career interceptions. In 2008, he set the school record for most tackles by a defensive back in a season.

Bowman, a product of Liberty High School, will join McCarthy in the Mile High city on a free agent contract.  Bowman finished his career at Boston College with 124 total tackles and six interceptions....with a solid reputation as one of the hardest hitter in the entire ACC.
