Youngstown firefighters pulled a man from a burning home on Saturday night.

Fire broke out around 7:00 p.m. at a house on Berwick Avenue.

Two people managed to get to safety on their own, but one man needed help.

His identity has not yet been released, but the man suffered burns in what officials said was a fire that started in the bedroom and ignited a mattress.

"The guys did a great job of going in and searching and grabbing the victim and getting him out right away.  And the medics got to him right away and took him to the hospital for treatment," explained Gary DiTullio, Battalion Chief for the YFD.

No word yet on the victim's condition.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
