A man faces charges after leading police on a high-speed chase through a Warren neighborhood Friday.
According to police, at about 2 p.m., an officer attempted to pull over William Harris, 34, of Fairview Avenue S.E., who was wanted on several warrants including a felony charge of receiving stolen property. After stopping Harris on Genesee Ave. N.E., just south of Elm Road, the officer attempted to place him under arrest.
Harris, who was with his 16-year-old son, drove away, reportedly at upwards of 100 miles per hour. He hit another vehicle head-on at East Market Street and attempted to run off on foot.
A witness, who was also a police academy graduate, saw Harris, chased him and helped police apprehend him nearby, reports state.
Harris and his son were taken to Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries, reports state. The woman driving the other vehicle involved was taken to St. Joseph Health Center.
Police said Harris will face one count of failure to comply with the signal of an officer along with other charges when he's released from the hospital.
