One good decision leads to some big bucks for a Warren woman. She came within one number of winning $81-million in Friday's Mega Millions drawing.
Linda Morgan got the second-best prize in that game, $250,000, for matching five of the six numbers.
She was teaching a new employee how to run the lottery machine at the store she manages, Lottery News Connection in Howland, when she noticed a left-over Mega Millions ticket. Instead of voiding the auto-lotto slip, she bought it because it had the number "29"; the date of her wedding anniversary.
After taxes, Morgan will get $172,000 of the jackpot.
