Gino's Drive-Thru on Midlothian Boulevard in Youngstown saw some of its busiest hours Sunday afternoon just before the big game. Customers rolled through to get some Super Bowl must-haves.
"I live not too far away," said Charlene Page, of Youngstown. "We came here to get some Pepsi to go home for dinner. We got us some chicken, and we're going home for dinner to watch the Super Bowl."
"Sprite for the kids, beer of course, then I'm on my way to get wings and pizza," said Terri Heinrich.
Retailers throughout the Valley took advantage of all the Super Bowl excitement and tried to draw in as many customers as possible with special deals. The Walgreen's store on Midlothian Boulevard and South Avenue said people could come in and get everything they needed for Super Bowl night.
"We have chip specials," said Pete Petroff, assistant manager. "We have Pringles. We have Lays. We have Coke on sale. It's unbelievable some of the deals that we have, actually."
Millions were expected to tune in to watch the Giants play the Patriots, and even though the Browns and Steelers aren't playing in the big game, Valley residents are still rooting for one of the teams.
"The Giants," said Page.
"Go Giants, even though I'm a Steelers fan," said Heinrich.
