More breathing room for General Motors, thanks to the second loan installment from the government's bailout package.
The car maker, which claimed it was about to run out of money, was given 5 billion dollars on Wednesday; five days later than expected. The money also came on the day when GM lost the title of the world's number one automaker. Toyota outsold GM by 600,000 vehicles last year.
General Motors could get another 4 billion dollars when it submits a plan to the government to show changes it's making to become more viable.
