Fourth of July festivities kicked off Saturday morning in Canfield with its annual parade.  The line-up started at the fairgrounds and made its way down and around the green to the center of the village.  Festivities continue Saturday night in Canfield where the fairgrounds will be open for a night of fun, food and entertainment including fireworks.

In Austintown, a parade was held to show off American pride with a twist.  The theme for this year's parade was the Old West.  People dressed up in cowboy hats and road in covered wagons.  It started on South Raccoon Road and ended at the high school.

Fourth of July festivities are also taking place in Columbiana's Firestone Park.  The Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce held its annual "Community Celebration".  Folks got a chance to take part in dozens of activities from canoe races to eating contests.  Festivities will culminate with a tribute to veterans, a free concert, and fireworks.
