Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a deadly accident in Mercer County.

Piotr Babiarz, 40, of New York, was killed when he crashed his truck on Interstate 80 in Findlay township around 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The accident happened about 20 miles from the Ohio border.

Police said Babiarz was hauling sheet steel on a flatbed trailer and traveling in the eastbound passing lane when he somehow lost control and drove into the grassy median. The truck then rolled onto its top trapping Babiarz inside.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
