A family feud ended with a shooting on Youngstown's East Side.

It happened Friday night at a home on Nelson Avenue.

According to police, Keith Colvin, 51, heard a noise outside of his house, grabbed his gun and went outside to investigate.  Colvin discovered his nephew, Curtis Brooks, 27, and the pair allegedly got into an argument.

Police said Colvin fired his gun when Brooks burst through Colvin's door.

Brooks is currently listed in critical but stable condition at Northside Medical Center.

Colvin has been charged with felonious assault.
