Tune in Saturday Nights at 7:30 on WYTV and Sunday Nights at 7:30 on MyYTV as WYTV and YSU present Academic Challenge!  Academic Challenge is a year long tournament of knowledge featuring the best and brightest High School students of Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana, Mercer, and Lawrence Counties.

There were 40 participating schools this year that began in early October 2007, and will end Mid-June 2008.  This year will mark the sixth champion of Academic Challenge.  The five previous winners were:

2007: Boardman
2006: Salem
2005: Howland
2004: Ursuline
2003: Liberty

Academic Challenge features a number of future valedictorians, ivy school grads, doctors, lawyers, maybe even the next president of the United States!

Academic Challenge has been hosted by WYTV's Stan Boney since the programs beginning.
