Reunions are held for school classes, families, or members of the military to reunite those who shared important memories together. It can be anywhere from a festive ballroom to a picnic site or out-of-town resort. You want it filled with classmates or family members getting reacquainted, great food, cameras flashing, and reminiscent music. Some elements you'll need to consider include: site selection, hotel accommodations, food and catering services, entertainment and recreational activities, and activities for children and spouses. Planning a reunion without professional help can take months of work, so you may wish to use a professional party planner. A professional can help coordinate details, from caterers and music to decorations and photography. One of the keys to a great reunion is a high attendance rate. Work with the school, military branch, or family members to attempt to locate as many people as possible. Resources can also include class lists, national databases, local phone searches, and the Internet. Record any address changes, even after the reunion, so you can have a head start on planning your next reunion. For the party itself, collect memorabilia and put together a memory book as a souvenir for everyone who attends. This may include names, addresses, phone numbers, and brief biographies of attendees, as well as those of others who aren't there. The room should be decorated with school or military colors, mascots, and blown-up photos. Activities can include a welcome reception, formal or informal banquet, day trips, or other recreational activities.
