PHILADELPHIA (AP) — It's a quiet night on Broad Street in Philadelphia.

Fans of the Philadelphia Phillies are mourning their team's defeat by the New York Yankees.

Thousands of fans partied in the streets when the Phillies won the National League championship. The crowds were generally well-behaved, in contrast to last year's troubles after the Phils' World Series win, when store windows were broken and several cars were turned over.

Philadelphia police spokesman Officer Stephen Malen says there haven't been any post-game troubles in the city in Wednesday night.
