TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — A spokeswoman for the Toledo school district says a school bus apparently hit a student while the youth was crossing an intersection.
Public Schools spokeswoman Patty Mazur (MAY'-zuhr) says the student was taken to a hospital Thursday morning. She says the student did not appear to have life-threatening injuries. The bus driver also was taken to the hospital to be checked.
Mazur says the accident happened as the bus was turning shortly after 8 a.m. at an intersection near Woodward High School. She did not have the youth's name or age.
A message seeking additional information was left at the Toledo Police department.
