Cuyahoga County Prosecutors are calling it the worst case of child abuse they have ever seen.
Investigators say Andreia Huffman and her husband, Jason Dunikowski, from Slavic Township, abused their nine children inside their home and left an 8-year-old boy hog-tied underneath a table at night.
The boy was not allowed to attend school and suffered numerous broken noses after having his face smashed into the wall.
The torturous acts finally came to an end when the boy's brother called Cleveland's Child Abuse Hotline.
"I think it would be a disservice to call these parents animals because animals, quite frankly, treat their offspring much better," said Mike O'Malley, Assistant Prosecutor.
A Cuyahoga County grand jury returned a 196 count indictment against the couple, charging them with multiple counts of kidnapping, child endangering and felonious assault.
They are currently being held in the county jail, and their children are in foster care.
