Attorney's for Heidi Gill say Warren Police Officer Richard Kovach's behavior toward her was cruel and abusive.  They will be filing a lawsuit against him in federal court this week.

Attorney Mark Hanni spoke to the media about the suit at a preliminary hearing for Heidi Gill today.  Gill is still facing misdemeanor charges in connection with a September incident  in which she was taser by Kovach several times.

Hanni says, " We believe once it is filed, and trial takes place Officer Kovach will be found to have violated Miss Gill's civil rights."

Meanwhile, a felony charge against Gill for assaulting an officer has been dropped, since Kovach is unavailable to testify.  She faces charges of resisting arrest and criminal damaging. She will be back in court in December, her trial is scheduled for January.

Gill says, "Once this is over, maybe I can sleep, and all that. I am sick of being afraid."
