The V&M Star Steel expansion project is moving along.
Wednesday night, Girard City Council passed an ordinance to allow the Ohio Department of Transportation to begin work on the proposed Briar Hill Industrial site.
Those preliminary diggings should begin within a week.
Meanwhile, Girard and Youngstown are still working out details of an agreement to annex 80 acres of land to Youngstown.
Officials in Girard say they hope to have a signed agreement within a few weeks.
