Thanksgiving dinners were given to residents throughout Mahoning and Trumbull counties Wednesday.
For the third year in a row, the Mahoning County Senior Services Unit delivered home cooked dinners to nearly 200 elderly residents.
Members of the First Federated Church of North Jackson prepared the turkey with all the traditional fixings. Wednesday, they packed up the meals and volunteers made special home deliveries.
Meanwhile, turkey and all the fixings were served to hundreds at the Warren Family Mission.
Volunteers as well as the staff at the mission on Elm Road began cooking early Wednesday morning so they could feed all those in need of a Thanksgiving dinner.
About 1,000 meals were served. The mission also provided food bags to many who needed additional food this Thanksgiving.
