Residents in one Valley community had an opportunity to test drive a car on Saturday while helping out their local school.  Welsh Motors in New Springfield hosted the Drive One For Your School event, in partnership with Ford.  For every test drive of a new Ford car or truck, $20 is being donated to the Springfield Local High School Athletic Department.  Last year the event raised $3,000.

Kim Welsh is the dealerships general manager.  She says, "Being involved in the community has always been the foundation for what the Welsh's have done.  We've always been very active in the community, both with the schools and with our church, and different organizations."

People have one more chance to help out.  The offer continues Monday, April 20.  It runs from 8am-8pm.
