There was a push to create a different perception of youth in Trumbull County this weekend.

Saturday at the Trumbull Community Action Program in Warren, twelve different acts of all ages took part in the first-ever 'Warren Has Talent."

Categories included rapping, singing, dancing, poetry, miming, and music.

"This was just a way for us to display youth in a positive light versus the way they'ev always been represented, or sometimes been represented and I personally know that there's a lot of talent in Warren," said Rosselle Burch, the event coordinator.

Participants had to perform a preliminary act in front of judges, then take their suggestions and incorporate them into their second performance.

Medals were awarded to the winners.
