An east side store owner, duct-taped and robbed in the past, fended off two men attempting to rob him again.

It happened just before 8 a.m. Friday at the Augusta Supermarket on Augusta Avenue.

Police said the owner got a call from a neighbor that two men were in his dumpster ready to jump him. At that point, the owner took out his gun and fired a shot and then ordered the men out of the dumpster.

The men jumped out of the dumpster and ran away.
