Pennsylvania Congressman Jason Altmire is joining the opposition to fight any 9/11 trial proceedings in western Pennsylvania.

In a written statement, the 4th District Congressman, says he "will strongly and actively oppose any effort to move the trial to western Pennsylvania, which could result in an increased security risk for our region."

Plans are being drafted for locations outside of New York City for the trial of admitted 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four alleged al-Qaida cohorts.

Atmire says he will do what it takes to keep those terrorists out of western Pennsylvania.
