There is more good news for the Youngstown Business Incubator.  It is set to receive $12,000 from National City Bank and the Ruth Beecher Charitable Trust to invest in support of emerging technology companies and facility renovations.  Since the Incubator helps companies get started for free or deferred costs, it should be a real benefit to the entire community.

Jim Cossler, CEO Youngstown Business Incubator said, "They're not paying rent.  They're not paying for their bandwidth.  They're not paying for the tremendous amount of shared resources we have.  It's got to be subsidized somehow, and so we've had the very generous support of a lot of local companies, a lot of local foundations."

The Business Incubator continues to grow as a charitable, non-profit organization.  This fall, renovation of the adjacent Semple Building should be complete, offering even more space for emerging tech businesses and software start-ups right in downtown Youngstown.
